The CIB, International Council of Research and Innovation in Building and Construction, have announced the joint meeting of Working Group 112 and Task Group 82 on Culture and Marketing in Construction. It will be held as part of the International Construction Business and Management Symposium (ICBMS 2011) on 21st to 22nd September 2011 at UTM in Kuala Lumpur. The objectives of this first joint Workshop will be to explore common ground between the work of the two Groups. The impact of national and corporate culture on the implementation of marketing and businessdevelopment in construction firms will be discussed. The outcome of the meeting should be an agenda to identify possible research collaboration in the form of international joint proposals, publications and further workshops and seminars. The workshop organisers are: Professor Dr Christopher Preece (UTM), Professor Dr Low Sui Pheng (NUS), Dr.ir.ing. Wilco Tijhuis (Twente), Professor Dr Anita Liu and Professor Dr Richard Fellows (Loughborough).
